Geologist

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Geologist to join their team. The Geologist will be responsible for conducting site surveys, characterizations, and assessments, as well as performing sample collection and analysis. This role involves a combination of fieldwork and technical analysis, with significant travel during certain months.

Focus:
- Conduct gamma scans and site evaluations to characterize geological features.
- Collect and prepare samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Oversee drilling operations and prepare detailed geologic borehole logs.
- Conduct downhole gamma scans and interpret borehole logs and gamma data to create 3D volume estimates of materials.
- Develop comprehensive site assessments, including detailed maps and mineralogical reports, to support project decisions.
- Utilize radiation detection equipment for site evaluations and gamma logging.
- Maintain accurate data to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders such as government agencies, environmental organizations, and internal teams.
- Clearly communicate findings, project updates, and recommendations, including risk assessments and progress reports.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience in geological site characterization, sample collection, and geologic log development.
- Familiarity with GIS software and 3D modeling tools such as Surfer.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Eligibility to obtain licensure as a professional geologist, as required.
