Process Field Engineer

Our client, a leader in operational excellence, is seeking a skilled Process Field Engineer to provide technical oversight and project management for various capital and non-capital projects related to Operations, Maintenance, and Integrity. This position is critical to ensuring the successful execution of complex projects while adhering to safety, regulatory, and operational standards.

Focus:

• Provide ongoing technical and project management support for assigned operations and capital projects.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, within regulatory guidelines, and on time and within budget.
• Develop, manage, and track operating and capital budgets, ensuring projects stay within approved limits.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams, EHS, PSM, and other support functions to drive efficiency and safety across all projects.
• Prepare project justifications, cost analyses, and risk assessments, providing alternative solutions where necessary.
• Oversee design, construction, and optimization efforts for a variety of gas plants, treatment facilities, and pipeline systems.
• Manage field execution of projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and timely project delivery.
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Cause and Effect reviews, and updates to Process Safety Information (PSI) in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and support Management of Change (MOC) processes, ensuring that all project modifications adhere to the OSHA regulations.
• Pursue continuous professional development to improve reliability, run-time, and operational excellence in gas plant systems and equipment.
• Utilize modeling software (ProMax) to assist in plant simulation and optimization.
• Provide technical support and field assistance during construction phases, ensuring projects are executed according to plan.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent process engineering experience.
• A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in process engineering or project engineering, preferably in the natural gas, pipeline, or energy industries.
• Strong experience with ProMax modeling for gas treatment and processing, including amine treating and glycol dehydration systems.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards related to gas plant operations.
• Proven ability to develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Must be willing to travel to field sites, requiring the ability to perform duties at various plant locations.
