Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety excellence across all active projects by embedding proactive safety planning into daily operations and team practices.
- Serve as the technical lead for multidisciplinary geotechnical project scopes, from preliminary evaluations to final design deliverables.
- Oversee comprehensive data analysis from subsurface explorations and laboratory testing, translating findings into practical design solutions.
- Steer project implementation, offering expert guidance to multidisciplinary teams as they tackle intricate engineering problems, ensure precision, and adhere to tight project deadlines.
- Perform client-facing responsibilities including proposal development, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide senior-level input on engineering strategies related to:
- Foundation systems (shallow/deep)
- Soil-structure interaction and excavation support systems
- Tunnel and dam infrastructure
- Slope stability and pavement rehabilitation
- Groundwater management and subsurface instrumentation
- Invest in the growth of colleagues, mentoring junior talent, and cultivating technical expertise and leadership capabilities among team members to drive professional advancement.
- Identify project risks and mitigation strategies during both traditional and alternative delivery approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; advanced degree (MS or PhD) highly preferred.
- Current registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a mandatory requirement.
- Successful candidates will have a minimum of a decade's worth of hands-on experience and technical expertise gained from working on large-scale, intricate civil infrastructure initiatives.
- High-level proficiency with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, LPILE, GRLWEAP, etc.).
- Expertise in foundation and slope design is essential, complemented by knowledge of specialized geostructural systems and innovative ground stabilization techniques.
- Working knowledge of LRFD methodologies and experience with transportation or public utility projects.
- Proven track record of inspiring and guiding others, driving high-performing teams, and consistently delivering exceptional project outcomes.
