Job Summary
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a flight dispatcher/scheduler position at Blue Skies Above Flight School.
The chosen candidate will facilitate the scheduling and dispatching of aircraft used by Blue Skies Above staff, renters, and students.
- Operational hours extend from 07:00-19:00 Monday-Friday; with candidates having the availability to work partial days on Saturdays.
- Shifts will be divided into Morning/Evening (06:45-13:00, 13:00-19:00)
Essential Functions
- Works closely with instructors and students to optimize the scheduling of training flights.
- Dispatches training flights in accordance with the published daily schedule in coordination with flight instructors and the operations supervisor.
- Assigns resources necessary to support flight training lessons.
- Ensures accurate aircraft status is displayed in the computer-based scheduling system.
- Assists with student records management and other record-keeping and data collection tasks.
- Must maintain clear communication with staff and students.
- Assists in filling student orders for training kits.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and highly variable work environment with a customer service focus.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Flight Circle and Microsoft Office is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of General Aviation Operations or Flight Experience is strongly preferred.
