What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Designer position at Blue Terra Design?
Blue Terra Design is a small and agile design, build, and remodel business in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to our kitchen remodeling projects, we take on a wide variety of projects ranging from custom pieces to light commercial work. If you are organized, detail oriented, have design experience, enjoy working in a creative atmosphere, and want to start each day with a different challenge, you would be a great fit for Blue Terra. We are looking to add an Interior Designer to our team. The ideal candidate is well versed in design programs and has strong communication, multi-tasking and organization skills. Project management skills are a plus.
General duties include (but are not limited to):
- Develop FF&E packages, including the specification of plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, tile, cabinet and countertop finishes, and coordinate with dealers and manufacturers to meet client and project goals
- Assist lead designer with client design presentations, mood boards, renderings, and client presentations
- Professionally interact with clients, trades representatives, manufacturers, and sub-contractors in person, via email, and over the phone
- Utilize interior design skills in programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documents
- Social media and website updates
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
- Occasional out of the box projects

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent in an art, graphic, or interior design field. (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Well versed in CAD, Adobe, 2020, SketchUp, or other design related programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to visualize / conceptualize design projects

Pay ranges from $25.00 - $35.00 per hour and is commensurate with skills and/or qualifications.
