Senior Architect - Mobile Platform

As a Mobile Architect for our Supply Chain Platform, you will be responsible for designing and developing mobile applications for both iOS and Android that connect our clients with critical supply chain data, enabling efficiency, visibility, and decision-making on the go. This role requires deep expertise in modern mobile development practices, Azure cloud technologies, and the ability to integrate these into a secure, highly performant, and user-friendly mobile experience.

What you'll do :

• Mobile Application Architecture: Design and implement a scalable, flexible, and secure mobile application architecture for both iOS and Android, using the latest development tools and practices. Ensure smooth integration with the Azure Cloud Platform (Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure App Services, etc.).

• Cross-Platform Development: Lead the evaluation and adoption of cross-platform technologies such as Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform to accelerate development, reduce maintenance overhead, and ensure seamless cross-device experiences.

• Cloud Integration: Architect and build integrations between mobile applications and Azure services, including Azure Active Directory (AAD) for authentication, Azure Mobile Apps, Azure IoT, and Azure Functions for backend services, data storage, and messaging.

• Supply Chain Features: Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to understand supply chain-specific requirements, such as inventory tracking, real-time shipments, predictive analytics, and edge computing, and design mobile features that enable these functionalities on the go.

• Performance & Scalability: Ensure the mobile apps are optimized for performance and scalability to handle large amounts of real-time data, such as inventory updates, shipment tracking, and supply chain alerts.

• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including secure authentication and authorization, encrypted data storage, and secure communication with Azure backend services. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, SOC2, etc.).

• Continuous Improvement: Stay on top of emerging mobile technologies, industry trends, and best practices, especially within supply chain management and logistics, and recommend tools or frameworks to improve the development process.

• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership, conducting code reviews, and promoting best practices in mobile app development. Encourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, and quality.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver cohesive and high-quality mobile experiences. Ensure tight integration between mobile and backend components of the platform.

Who you are :

• Experience:

  • 8 years of mobile development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or architect role.

  • Proven experience architecting and delivering complex mobile applications for both iOS and Android, especially in enterprise contexts.

  • Experience in developing solutions for industries such as logistics, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS is a strong plus.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose.

  • Expertise in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Mobile Apps, and Azure IoT.

  • Experience with Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development.

  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and cloud messaging services like Azure Notification Hubs.

  • Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user authentication and OAuth/OpenID Connect protocols.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, Detox, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Data Sync solutions and offline-first mobile architectures to handle supply chain data in disconnected environments.

  • Strong experience with mobile performance optimization techniques for large-scale, real-time applications.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an agile, fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.

The salary range for this position is: USD $130,769.23 - $189,615.38

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
