ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Bluebird Fiber Senior Manager of Carrier Sales (SMCS) is responsible for managing significant relationships between Bluebird Fiber (BBF) and its Carrier and Wholesale customers in expectation of growing business opportunities. The SMCS is responsible for timely quotes and project estimates for use of BBF’s network services to customers, and overall management and growth of designated customer accounts. This position requires an expert level of understanding of the BBF’s capabilities, customers, relationships, and technologies. This position requires exceptional customer focus, organizational, project and matrix management skills, and the ability to complete tasks in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four-Year College/Technical School degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years in sales-oriented environment
- Three years’ telecommunication/wholesale experience preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Multi-task and maintain composure in a demanding work envi
- Highly motivated, with the ability to act with customer orientation and be attentive and responsive to customer concerns and needs
- Customer focus and desire to exceed expectations
- Strong oral and written communications and organizational skills
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM
- Funnel management with ability to forecast and close business
Summary
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLILITES:
- Representing BBF to its customer base in a courteous and professional manner via meetings, telephone calls, and emails
- Maintain existing customer relationships and revenue.
- Prospect for new customers and revenue growth opportunities.
- Negotiating the terms of various service agreements and closing sales that meet or exceed
- BBF’s defined sales objectives
- Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers
- Gathering market and customer information to gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
- Representing and promoting BBF at various industry events and tradeshows
- Providing input to BBF’s Service Delivery Coordinator to ensure proper documentation and timely completion of orders for customers
- Providing support for customer appreciation events and other marketing events
- Other tasks as may be needed from time to time
- Travel to customer meetings is required, with flexibility to travel for days at a time as needed
