As a Solution Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to drive meaningful impact, grow your career, and contribute to the success of an industry leader. The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a member of the Business Development Team who is responsible for clearly communicating the various products and technologies currently offered within the Bluebird Network product portfolio during pre and post-sales customer interactions. The role will involve working closely with customers to understand their network infrastructure requirements, offer tailored solutions, and ensure seamless integration of our products into their networks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales engineering, pre-sales support, or technical consulting for fiber optic backhaul solutions.
- Experience with advanced fiber optic technologies such as Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), optical transport networks (OTN), and IP/MPLS.
- Proficiency in network design tools and simulation software (e.g., Visio).
- General knowledge of the mechanics of Google Earth and/or outside plant tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Enterprise telecommunications experience, preferred.
- Internet Service Provider experience, preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pre-sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met with the right fiber optic backhaul solutions.
- Solution Design: Analyze customer requirements and design customized solutions to meet their bandwidth, scalability, and performance needs.
- Technical Consultation: Provide expert guidance and consultative support to customers regarding fiber optic network infrastructure, backhaul technologies, and system integration.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest fiber optic technologies, backhaul solutions, and industry trends to provide accurate recommendations.
- Proposal and Documentation: Create detailed technical proposals, documentation, and cost estimates for clients.
- Training and Support: Conduct product training and assist customers in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Enablement: Assist the sales team with technical sales presentations, proof of concepts (POCs), and network designs.
