Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef with extensive experience in Mexican/American/Italian cuisine to lead our kitchen. The Chef will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in food handling techniques, culinary skills, and best practices.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality to ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to create and execute both traditional and modern Mexican dishes.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen management.
- Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Certification in culinary arts or related field is a plus but not required.
