Our client is looking for a Fractional Controller/CFO to focus on the day-to-day financial operations of their clients.

- Review of internal controls, making recommended changes as required.
- Review status of financial closes including reconciliations, inventory, cost accounting, capital expenditures
- Review status of annual budget
- The ability to be flexible and work independently is crucial.
- Gain understanding of accounting processes
- Prepare monthly close calendar and checklist
- If necessary, set up a client reporting package
- Review completed financial statements and create monthly reporting package.
- Complete various parts of the monthly close as will be determined in the initial responsibilities.
- Supervise client staff and mentor them to some degree.
- Projects as required by Client
- Become a Trusted Advisor to the client
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting major) with major coursework in business, finance accounting
- CPA and/or MBA (or master’s degree in accounting) is a plus.
- At least 15 years accounting/financial analysis experience, ideally within a manufacturing company.
- At least 3 years as a controller or CFO.
- Manufacturing, non-profit and retail/restaurant experience.
- The individual will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts (including GAAP) , practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting. This includes working knowledge of bills of material.
- Must be highly computer literate with data mining (excellent with Excel and understand how to download data from an ERP system), have effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
- Requires deadline driven, high-energy individual, able to work autonomously and lead as key contributor on teams.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task.
