Position Summary:
As a Department Manager/Deputy Portfolio Director of Education & Workforce Systems (E-WFS), you will play a leadership role in defining, building, and maintaining BlueForge Alliance’s education and workforce core capabilities, including training, development, and mentoring of personnel in the principles and practices of workforce development program initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Champions, upholds, and acts as a role-model of the BFA values and principles to establish a team culture that embodies the best of BFA.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence, using the BlueForge Alliance values, principles, and customer delivery credo as the foundation across the organization.
- Mentors and develops education and workforce team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and insights to drive innovative solutions to maximize impact on all program initiatives.
- Defines, builds, and maintains education and workforce core capabilities, including hiring, training/onboarding, development, awards, and mentoring of personnel in the principles and practices of education and workforce.
- Works collaboratively with Associate Vice President of E-WFS to develop and deploy corporate strategic roadmaps for education and workforce.
- Supports the E-WFS Portfolio Director in leading all programmatic initiatives to execute key deliverables, metrics collection and reporting.
- Elevates customer, partner and stakeholder satisfaction by consistently overdelivering proactive strategic approaches and recommendations for all workforce programs.
- Ensures and oversees quality and consistency of all education and workforce products.
- Plans and manages resources and staffing profiles for all E-WFS program-facing initiatives and projects, including personnel workload based on current and future capability and product needs.
- Evaluates and advocates for value-added education and workforce innovations, processes, and tools.
- Executes ongoing organizational performance evaluation activities, employee development, identifying high potential candidates for career advancement.
- Supports defining capability needs and requirements from multi-program and future corporate capability perspectives.
- Supports informed decision-making of resources with a partner first approach.
- Supports establishing and maintaining partnerships to enable scaling of capabilities.
- Provides education and workforce subject matter expertise in support of the team to all programs, when needed.
- Assists in development, implementation, and leading key team engagements, meetings, and working sessions.
- Leads by example, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment that supports the personal and professional growth of team members
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages, develops and trains staff.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive feedback and timely performance evaluations.
