Position Summary:
The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for processing, reconciling, and managing all payroll costing systems. This role is to ensure all payroll accounting functions adhere to GAAP, FASB, and CAS requirements. The Payroll Accountant will provide accurate and timely payroll and benefit costing within the accounting system as well as provide insights and recommendations for efficiency improvements to the payroll process. This role will work closely with People Operations and Culture in all aspects of payroll and benefits including but not limited to quarterly reporting and benefit reconciliations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including payroll costing and reconciliation, benefits reconciliation, and ad hoc reporting.
- Maintain close working relationship with People Operations and Culture in all aspects of payroll, benefits costing and reconciliation.
- Validate accounting records with all payroll, benefits, and employee data.
- Provide insights on all accounting functions relating to payroll and benefits.
- Monitor and maintain compliance within accounting system.
- Coordinate with all organizational departments, external stakeholders, customers, and advisory groups.
- Prepare all financial reporting including, but not limited to, labor costs and hour budgets.
- Contribute to the input of annual budgets and forecasts, including recommendations for revisions.
- Develop and integrate process improvements and efficiencies.
- Ad hoc accounting and other related functions as assigned
