Position Summary:
The Deputy Director of Program Planning & Control (PP&C) at BlueForge Alliance will play a pivotal role in supporting the PP&C Director in executing strategic plans and objectives related to program planning and control activities. As a key member of the team, this position is responsible for managing processes related to budgeting, scheduling, forecasting financial performance, and reporting, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission. In this role, the Deputy Director will assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive planning and control strategies that enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. This includes overseeing the preparation and analysis of budgets, maintaining project schedules, and providing accurate financial forecasts to support decision-making processes. By effectively managing program planning and control activities, the Deputy Director will contribute to the successful delivery of projects that meet customer expectations and uphold the organization’s commitment to national security and defense initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic plans and objectives for program planning and control activities to ensure alignment with BFA goals.
- Manage processes for program/project budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting financial performance, and ensuring adherence regulations and policies.
- Work with Program Operations to allocate resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to support project activities, optimizing resource utilization, and addressing resource constraints.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among program stakeholders, including team members, vendors, and senior management, to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements, as well as adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Manage the enterprise and business risk registers providing cyclical status to senior BFA leadership.
- Develop and implement risk and opportunity management and change management strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization from potential threats and capitalize on opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and functional teams to promote a risk-aware culture and ensure alignment of R&O activities with business objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages, develops and trains staff.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
