Position Summary:
The role of the Project Manager – Advanced Manufacturing Technology is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of defense-related projects for the organization that meet or exceed delivery expectations to our customer. This position will provide expertise focused on Infusing the manufacture of submarine and surface ship components with new technology and manufacturing processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with Department of Defense and industry stakeholders.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through delivery of defined objectives.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans to execute and monitor projects.
- Develop subcontractor Statement of Work as necessary.
- Monitor project risks, identify potential roadblocks, and make recommendations to address.
- Maintain project documentation, develop presentations, and other materials as required.
- Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience.
- Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of objectives and deliverables on schedule and within budget.
- Provide project status reports and updates as required.
- Become proficient in BFA project management software.
- Work closely with BFA functional organizations such as Contracts, Procurement, Finance, Accounting.
- Represent BFA at conferences, symposiums, and industry events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
