Position Summary:
The role of the Senior Project Manager is overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of defense-related projects for the organization that meet or exceed delivery expectations to our customer. Senior Project Managers work within one of the following Lines of Effort, Communications and Outreach, Workforce Development, Supplier Development, or Advanced Manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with Department of Defense and industry stakeholders.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through delivery of defined objectives.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans to execute and monitor projects.
- Develop subcontractor Statement of Work as necessary.
- Monitor project risks, identify potential roadblocks, and make recommendations to address.
- Maintain project documentation, develop presentations, and other materials as required.
- Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience.
- Coach, mentor and lead junior project management team members.
- Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of objectives and deliverables on schedule and within budget.
- Provide project status reports and updates as required.
- Become proficient in BFA project management software.
- Work closely with BFA functional organizations such as Contracts, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting.
- Represent BFA at conferences, symposiums, and industry events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
