Position Summary:
The Wellness Center Coordinator will be responsible for managing the on-site gym facility, overseeing equipment maintenance, and facilitating a range of fitness, nutrition, and wellness programs aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle for all employees. The role requires a proactive approach to overall wellness, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of fitness, nutrition, and health best practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the on-site gym, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with necessary equipment.
- Coordinate regular maintenance and repair of fitness equipment to ensure safety and proper functionality.
- Manage the scheduling of gym usage by including any group fitness classes or wellness activities.
- Track and maintain inventory of fitness equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate wellness efforts with the People Operations department to design and implement initiatives and activities promoting physical fitness, mental health, and overall well-being.
- Develop and lead fitness classes (e.g., yoga, aerobics, strength training) and nutrition workshops that are inclusive and accessible for all employees (onsite and remote) of all fitness levels.
- Partner with the People Operations department to provide resources and guidance on health and wellness topics such as stress management, mindfulness, exercise techniques, and nutrition.
- Serve as the overall wellness resource and support for employees, providing advice and guidance on healthy lifestyle choices.
- Create personalized health plans for employees based on individual goals, needs, and preferences.
- Promote healthy habits through workshops, challenges, and special events such as health screenings or fitness challenges.
- Work closely with People Operations and leadership teams to ensure wellness programs align with company culture and strategic goals.
- Coordinate and communicate wellness activities, tips, and updates to employees via email, internal portals, and bulletin boards.
- Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees engaging with wellness programs.
- Partner with the People Operations department to closely monitor the success of wellness and fitness programs, gather feedback from participants, and assess areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on wellness program participation, employee satisfaction, and program outcomes.
- Stay informed about the latest wellness and fitness trends, best practices, and research to continuously improve offerings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
