Tour Guide Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and professional Tour Guides to educate our guests about the world (and flavors) of bourbon. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging visitors for the duration of the tour, educating guests on the bourbon making process, sharing the history of Bluegrass Distillers, leading bourbon tastings, and answering any questions they may have. You will also assist guests with all purchases of bourbon and merchandise after the tour as well as assist in keeping the distillery clean and presentable.

Tour Guide Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly at scheduled tour times
• Check guests in (confirm reservations, check ids, etc.) before the tours/tastings begin
• Provide information to guests in an engaging and friendly manner
• Educate guests on the history of Bluegrass Distillers as well as the bourbon making process
• Lead bourbon tastings and explain different tasting notes, etc
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of bourbon and Bluegrass Distillers
• Remain professional, friendly, and enthusiastic at all times
• Lead guests through the tour and tastings experiences
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Tour Guide Requirements and Qualifications

• Weekend availability required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hospitality/customer service experience preferred
• Bourbon/wine & spirits/beer experience is a plus
• Able to memorize and recite facts clearly and accurately
• Exceptional communication skills
• Flexible schedule

Hours

• Monday - Saturdays 8:30am-6:00pm
• Sundays 11:00am-5:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
