Warehouse Technician - Returns - 1st Shift
Franklin, KY
Responsibility & Authority
The Returns Specialist is responsible for receiving returned packages and processing them through the appropriate software. They will also manage and track the outdated returned products. Additionally, the Returns Specialist will handle various packages and parts that can weigh up to 30 lbs. Other duties include but are not limited to: keep detailed accurate records in WMS system, work alongside other team members in a production line and use the WMS to determine the location where the returned product is being directed.

- Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to train on multiple processes and to work in multiple areas on a regular basis
Physical Demands
A Warehouse Technician can work in any range of environments, from a climate-controlled space to a warehouse or factory floor where temperatures can vary from extreme cold to extreme heat. Warehouse Technicians must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours) on unpadded floors and will occasionally be required to bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull and grasp. Additionally, Warehouse Technicians will occasionally be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Eye/hand coordination is also required. Exposure to chemical hazards, electrical hazards, sharp objects/tools, noise and vibration are anticipated. A Warehouse Technician must be able to read and follow detailed processes.
Tools & Equipment Used
- Handheld scanning devices and other data collection tools
- Various production tools, including those powered by air pressure
- Radios, mirrors, flashlights, micrometers, tape measures, dyes, paints, chemical cleaners, rulers, gauges, micrometers, calipers, hand tools, power tools, air tools, steel toed footwear, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and any other tools and equipment required per customer request
- Pallet jacks
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
The ability to follow packaging standards during repack and packaging functions is required. previous warehouse or pick/pack experience preferred. Understand warehouse management system functions and have ability to follow each step of the process. Reliable, punctual and committed to safety, quality and delivery Customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and are required. Forklift experience is a plus and can lead to other opportunities.
