OPPORTUNITY
National 501c4 nonprofit organization seeks qualified candidates for the position of Northeast Regional Organizer for Offshore Wind (NRO). This position is represented by the United Steelworkers Local Union, 2022-22.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The NRO will track and review all actions related to offshore wind energy development in the Northeast United States. The NRO will engage and mobilize labor and environmental organizations and coalitions across the region to support BGA's initiatives on a high-road offshore wind industry, transmission, and clean energy manufacturing.
The NRO will work closely with BGA's Director of Offshore Wind and state, policy, research, and communications staff to design and implement an organizing and policy plan to advance key regional priorities.
The NRO will work remotely and should reside in New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, or Maine with regional travel expectations and occasional travel outside of the area (20% travel, depending on location).
Essential Duties of this role :
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Build and strengthen partnerships with BGA's allies and partner organizations in the region to foster support for key initiatives and priorities;
- Cultivate relationships with labor, environmental, environmental justice, and racial equity leaders across the Northeast to advance shared goals;
- Model inclusive behaviors and actively promote DEI principles through personal development, organizational practices, and by addressing implicit biases;

A compensation package including competitive salary with annual COLA increases, generous paid time off and 100% employer-funded health benefits is available.
Salary
The salary range is $80,000 - $95,000 annually, exempt. BGA utilizes salary bands to ensure pay equity and transparency. Final salary within the salary range will be based on experience level and qualifications.
