SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, execution and delivery of Crowley Wind Services Projects by ensuring the identified customer requirements are met, delivered timely and within budget without compromising quality or safety.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the planning, scheduling, budget, scope of work execution, and risk management on current and potential customer projects.
  • Develop, track and implement controls to manage projects and organizational risk.
  • Lead cross-functional project execution team consisting of employees, contractors and/or subcontractors to ensure clear roles and responsibilities between all team members and coordinate the activities of team members to ensure project deliverables are executed to customer expectations.
  • Provide customer interface and effective external communication to customers, leading facilitation of all customer-facing meetings and communications.
  • Communicate project status, open items, and risks to key internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Lead development and negotiation of customer change orders to ensure successful execution of customer-requested changes in scope of work.
  • Document lessons learned throughout the project while identifying areas of improvement for project execution.
  • Assist and contribute to the continual enhancement of project management methodology.
  • Assist in review of project proposals for new opportunities and help determine the time frame and procedures for accomplishing the project, staff requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and related experience equal to ten (10) years.

EXPERIENCE: 10 years of project management and/or operations experience. 5 years of project management and operations experience with EPCI-related projects in the maritime, offshore wind, and/or terminal operations space.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in addition to utilizing project management software such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or Primavera.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in various stages of completion that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to assess project risks and exposures; identify options and alternatives, make decisions and implement corrective actions. Ability to promote and build a team atmosphere, motivate team members in addition to function effectively as part of a team. Ability to organize, manage and lead at the project and portfolio level. Ability to plan, execute and control a project establishing realistic estimates and reporting metrics. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to indirectly mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Knowledge of project management, planning and cost control management. Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting and administrative management.

OTHER: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop and maneuver tight spaces.

Position Location – Boston/ Hybrid

Salary Range -$149,600 thru $160,000

  • Pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
