Job Title: Bartender

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

The F&B Bartender job duties include preparing drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems as well as maintaining cleanliness and proper condition of the bar and other tools for the bars at Bluejack National. This position is member facing and requires strong customer service skills, and the ability to anticipate and comply to guest needs in a genuine and timely manner while following all Food & Beverage standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adhere to food, health and safety standards.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean, professional, and in accordance with the F&B Grooming Standard.
• Be punctual for all scheduled shifts.
• Offer members a warm and sincere greeting. Use the guest name, if and when possible.
• Anticipate and comply with guest needs while following Food & Beverage Standards
• Offer members a fond farewell. Give them a warm goodbye and use their names, if and when possible.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
• Take and serve orders accurately and with a positive attitude.
• Prepare drink orders for guests and servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by Bluejack Recipes & Standards.
• Stay present at the bar and always in sight of guests.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis according to established Standards.
• Ensure par levels in beverage products and bar supplies are appropriately maintained at all times in all areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Inputs orders at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all food, beverage, and miscellaneous items served.
• Follow & adhere to opening, closing, and requisition procedures developed for the bartender position in Food & Beverage.
• Responsible for maintaining all standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining the operation in accordance with all TABC / state and county liquor laws.
• Assist in the supervision of beverage product inventory management and cost control.
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Responsible for communicating any maintenance and repair needs to the beverage Supervisor or F&B Manager.
• Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest.
• Maintain open communication in regard to conflict resolution with co-workers.
• Handle member problems and complaints as professionally as possible or refer to the Beverage Supervisor, F&B Managers or DOFB for support.
• Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Assist with the setup, breakdown and service of all major club functions and events as needed.
• Attend all relevant operational meetings.
• Assist with any other job related duties or special projects as assigned by management.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:
• Weekdays, weekends and Holidays. Schedule flexible as business requires.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 2 year experience in the hospitality industry in a service role, with an emphasis on bartending.

• Hotel / Resort experience a plus.
• Skilled in interpersonal communications and organization.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying/ Bending/Kneeling
• Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the day.
