High-Level Description:
The Drawing Control Analyst will be responsible for the tracking, coordination, storage, and archiving of technical drawings for UST assets across all project types including Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Capital projects, and Management of Change (MOC). This role will utilize an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), such as Meridian, to maintain drawing integrity and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the coordination, receipt, issuance, tracking, distribution, and archiving of all technical drawing requests and issue packages within the EDMS for O&M, Capital, and Core projects.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve issues related to data quality, process gaps, or system inconsistencies.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders by preparing and delivering reports and summaries; interpret data and present findings clearly.
- Support both external consultants and internal teams with relevant standards, procedures, and information needed to complete project and contractual requirements related to drawing control.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of drawing and drawing control standards and procedures.
- Ensure metadata and technical drawing quality within the EDMS are maintained to defined standards.
- Prepare and coordinate construction and as-built drawings using document control systems like Meridian for EPC-assigned projects.
- Collaborate closely with other Drawing Control Analysts and Drafting teams (including Offshore and Vector) to uphold system-wide data integrity.
- Maintain proactive, professional communication—both written and verbal—to support collaboration and ensure alignment with established procedures.
- Use sound judgment to adapt standard practices to new tasks where necessary; manage time and priorities independently.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Diploma in a related technology field, or a combination of relevant certifications and 0–3 years of related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable with a proactive attitude.
Assets (Nice to Have):
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with Meridian or similar drawing/document management systems.
- Previous exposure to the oil and gas industry.
