At BlueOval SK, we will lead the transformation of the electric vehicle (EV) battery business through partnership (Joint Venture formed by Ford and SK On) to provide products and processes to increase our customers’ experience. As the future of BlueOval SK, you will help lead the battery revolution by working alongside our teams as we build the batteries required for electric vehicle business excellence.
Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30 years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.
The Recruiter at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for staffing a large number of positions in a start-up environment.
- Support development and execution of an active and passive recruiting strategy for defined business unit/skill team.
- Collaborate with partners to understand current talent strategy and identify talent gaps.
- Help to refine and update the On-Boarding Package for New Hires.
- Build and nurture pipelines of diverse talent for BlueOval SK.
- Partner with HR and Hiring Managers to build candidate profiles and search strategies.
- Proactively source and build future talent pipelines.
- Prepare candidate slate presentations to Human Resources & Hiring Managers.
- Negotiate offers with candidates.
- Develop and track hiring metrics and report them to Human Resources Leadership.
- Analyze data and make data-driven decisions, including understanding how to use assessments to make hiring decisions.
- Work with Workforce Development regarding creation, scheduling and facilitating assessment.
- Partner with Community Engagement and Communications to craft our recruiting narrative.
- Participate in community engagement and recruiting events to grow and expand brand in Tennessee and Kentucky.
- Complete special projects as needed and lend your expertise in one or more areas of specialization (sourcing, recruitment process, etc.).
- Be intellectually curious, continuously learning about our competitors, and the markets we work in.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years demonstrated success attracting and recruiting talent
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 7 years demonstrated success attracting and recruiting talent.
- 3 years of executive search experience in search firm and corporate settings.
- Proficient with LinkedIn and other recruiting tools/technology.
- Experience with Workday and/or other HR Information Systems.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Resourcefulness, creativity, nimble, and self-motivated.
- Highly collaborative working style and proven history of building relationships.
Additional Information:
- Employment for this position will be through a joint venture (formed by Ford Motor Company and SK On)
- Must be willing to travel.
- This position will work in an office environment but will be hybrid as we build the plant and the facilities.
