DAILY TASKS
· Prioritizes, manages, and provides direction for the manufacturing engineering and maintenance departments including lining up training and development on technical abilities
· Completes managerial tasks for the manufacturing engineering and maintenance departments including coaching and development, timecards, time off approval, and completing reviews for the team
· Responsible for all maintenance, facility, and assigned support engineering project activities and ensuring 24-hour, 7-day a week coverage for technical support as needed
· Timely and effective preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery using maintenance management software and work order tracking
· Manages maintenance and repairs for the facility including organizing snow removal, and overall plant grounds appearance
· Monitors the proper storage/disposal of waste and ensures local regulations are being followed
· Tracks overall manufacturing engineering and maintenance repair spend, and identifies opportunities to reduce/eliminate downtime and costs
· Ensures processes and procedures are in place or preventive maintenance activities
· Coordinates annual facility safety inspections for assigned areas of responsibility including but not limited to- cranes, hoists, sprinkler/fire systems, and plant septic/oil clean out systems
· Develops spare parts stocking program for key equipment
· Develops and leads manufacturing engineering project list and priorities to algin with and support the broader Operations short and long-term strategies
· Leads root cause analysis to improve product quality, safety on the shop floor, drive productivity, and reduce cost
· Partners closely with the Plant Manager, Production, Safety, and Quality staff to hit or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly Operations KPIs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 5-7 years manufacturing engineering and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
· 10 years of pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, and electrical troubleshooting experience
· Facility maintenance experience-repair, contractor oversight, and project leadership
· Preventive maintenance program experience managing and entering work orders for proactive repair of equipment
· Demonstrating effective cross functional working relationships and ability to understand and prioritize business objectives over personal objectives
· Participation on project or company teams helping make improvements to the company
· Project Management experience with root cause analysis and problem solving
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
· Experience working in an automotive equipment environment and ability to work on engines, engine testing equipment, and fuel systems
· 3-5 years of leadership experience

· A manufacturing environment may require heavy lifting and manual labor

HOURS
1st shift (standard 48-hour work week, automatic overtime built into each Friday)
- Monday – Thursday 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Occasional weekend projects

PAY RANGE
· $80,000 - $110,000 per year
