Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our pool monitors. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
Duties
- Supervise Pool Monitors – Assign duties, oversee performance, and manage schedules.
- Enforce Safety & Pool Rules – Ensure guests follow regulations and handle rule violations.
- Monitor Pool Conditions – Report hazards, maintenance issues, and equipment concerns.
- Emergency Preparedness – Train staff on emergency procedures and ensure incident reports are completed.
- Staff Training & Performance – Provide ongoing training and conduct evaluations.
- Customer Service – Assist guests, resolve complaints, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Facility Cleanliness & Organization – Ensure the pool deck, chairs, and surrounding areas are maintained.
- Inventory & Supplies – Monitor and restock first aid kits, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment.
- Liaison with Management – Communicate operational updates, staff performance, and policy changes.
- Maintain Logs & Reports – Track attendance, incidents, and facility concerns for management review.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an aquatic, hospitality, or customer service setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and guests.
- Basic first aid/CPR certification
- Ability to monitor and enforce facility rules while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Experience with incident reporting and conflict resolution in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to issues.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
