What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Support Engineer position at BlueSky Resource Solutions?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support for employees and visitors in WA and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the site's IT operations and assist in managing daily activities and troubleshooting issues.
- Analyze and propose improvements to enhance support team efficiency and overall IT processes.
- Manage and prioritize immediate tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with team members.
- Work with cross-functional technical teams to identify gaps, implement solutions, and optimize processes for improved service delivery.
- Offer technical support for diagnosing and restoring IT services while collaborating with engineering and service management teams to enforce IT security policies.
- Lead engineering efforts that enhance end-user computing performance, including endpoint imaging, encryption, mobile data management, and local data management.
- Follow the Change Management and Service Management procedures to ensure consistent IT infrastructure and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for improving service performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure operational acceptance of new services and technologies using ITIL methodologies.
- Adhere to Global Infrastructure Operations Standards, Security Policies, and Procedures.
- Drive continuous improvements in IT service design and ongoing technology development.
- Provide timely support for high-priority operational incidents, including 24/7 critical incident management when required.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 years of experience in a manufacturing or corporate IT environment, including application hosting, voice and data networks, security management, and information protection.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within operational teams and deliver IT support solutions.
- Experience providing both on-site and remote IT infrastructure and end-user support.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, governance policies, and associated processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse business functions.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, virtual team across multiple time zones.
