**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Coordinator to oversee the materials department in a lean, JIT environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and materials planning, with knowledge of manufacturing process and its logics, principles and practices of inventory control, and warehousing operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor shipment plans from suppliers to ensure sufficient inventory.
- Analyse inventory levels, accuracy and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain communication to meet plant needs and coordinate with suppliers on quality, delivery, and other performance objectives.
- Work closely with other departments for data gathering, analysis, and continuous process improvement.
- Control Material department budgets, hiring and training staff.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations, plan work assignments and equipment allocations.
- Resolve worker problems and interpret transportation and tariff regulations, shipping orders, safety regulations, and company policies for workers.
- Coordinate physical inventory audits with accounting and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of unit goals and objectives, participate in budget preparation and administration.
- Maintain and implement departmental procedures to ensure compliance with TS16949 standards.
**Requirements:*
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Five years' experience in logistics and materials planning.
- Knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and rules.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and the coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of computerized inventory control and associated databases with particular emphasis on optimum storage space utilization.
**Salary:** $100,000 - $120,000 Per Year
