What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Technician position at DCH Health System?
Overview
Performs a variety of departmental functions, including inventory control, support and maintain par level systems, issue and fill departmental requisitions, deliver supplies / medication, and provide clerical duties to assist in maintaining the proper quality and quantity of medical and surgical supplies / medication for patient care.
Responsibilities
DCH Standards:
- Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
- Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
- Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
- Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, with minimum of two years college preferred. Previous experience with storage and distribution of supplies is desirable. Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies is preferred. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.
Working Conditions:
Environmental
May be in proximity of pallet jacks and other inventory transport equipment on occasion, so must be aware of surroundings. Working in proximity of printing and binding equipment, and electrical outlets.
Physical
H-Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force
frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are
in excess of those for Medium Work
.Psychological
Frequent contact with others. Must be able to lead teams and coordinate activities. Must be able to interact with the vendor community and internal customers .Frequent use of electronic mail and face-to-face discussions. Frequent telephone conversations with internal customers.
Physical presence onsite is essential. Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range. Able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
