Here's what you'll be doing:
- Use the client's Portfolio Management Tool to prepare schedules, assign resources, and manage budgets, while overseeing project progress, including costs, schedules, and risks.
- Create and deliver presentations tailored for executives and teams, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders like project sponsors and DTMB management.
- Foster collaboration between technical and business teams, maintaining key project deliverables such as Project Charters, Budgets, and Change Requests.
- Ensure compliance with SUITE PMM and System Engineering Methodology (SEM), while managing Change Management processes and vendor contracts.
- Develop Corrective Action Plans (CAP) when necessary and ensure smooth project interfaces with other agencies, clarifying expectations and ensuring deliverables are met.
What You Need to Succeed
- 7 years of IT project management experience, including deep knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- 7 years of experience delivering projects on time and within budget in a formal project manager role.
- 7 years of expertise in establishing and maintaining project budgets and schedules, as well as managing change requests, risks, and issues.
- 7 years of experience developing and delivering project status reports to stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience with project portfolio management tools, such as Clarity.
- 5 years of advanced proficiency in MS Project, ensuring effective project scheduling and tracking.
- 5 years of experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and system owners from various departments (highly desired).
- 5 years of experience managing multi-vendor environments in government contexts (highly desired).
- PMP Certification with 3 years of relevant application (highly desired).
