We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Business Central (BC) Developer to support a manufacturing company in Cincinnati, OH, as they finalize their Business Central implementation. The client is struggling with a critical customization related to their shipping processes and needs an expert who can efficiently diagnose, develop, and implement the required solution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Business Central development and hands-on experience with Lanham E-Ship and Lanham EDI. This role requires a consultant who can step in immediately, analyze the existing implementation, and deliver a functional, scalable solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the existing Business Central Lanham E-Ship Lanham EDI implementation and identify the root cause of the current customization challenges.
- Develop and deploy custom Business Central functionality to resolve shipping process issues.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and the implementation partner to ensure smooth system integration.
- Customize EDI workflows for order fulfillment, shipping automation, and compliance with trading partners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any data integration, mapping, or automation errors between Business Central, Lanham E-Ship, and EDI.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure continued success post-implementation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV development.
- Proven expertise in AL programming, extensions, and Business Central customization.
- Hands-on experience with Lanham E-Ship and Lanham EDI solutions.
- Strong understanding of shipping workflows, carrier integrations, and EDI transaction processing.
- Ability to analyze existing customizations and optimize performance.
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with manufacturing or distribution companies is a plus.
