Bluewater Architectural Products is a leading material supplier and installer in the commercial construction industry, serving projects across the southeast.
We're expanding our team and seeking skilled junior and senior field & shop Technicians and a Foreman to join us.
As a Technician with Bluewater Architectural Products, you'll be responsible for:
- Welding and painting steel door frames
- Fabricating steel borrowed lites and window walls
- Preparing steel doors for hardware and/or lites
- Modifying wood doors
- Building custom millwork and barn doors
- Installing and servicing commercial doors and hardware
- Installing steel or wood frames
- Installing and servicing electronic access control systems (card readers, power supplies, electrified hardware)
- Installing automatic handicap operators
- Installing architectural accessories (fire extinguisher cabinets, toilet partitions, shelving, wall guards, marker boards, signage, operable walls)
You'll also operate various shop tools, including welders, grinders, bandsaws, drills, forklifts, and hand tools.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to:
- Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Pass a drug screen
- Provide a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines
- Work out of town and stay in a hotel
- Understand plumb, level, and square
- Read a tape measure and use common measurement tools (framing square, level, laser)
- Efficiently use common shop tools such as screwdrivers, drills, saws, etc.
- Utilize basic math skills
