Nutrition and dietetics graduate assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will serve as a support position for the graduate programs in nutrition and dietetics. Based on experience, they may meet the qualifications of a co-teacher for undergraduate classes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the clinical educator in site development, preceptor relations and SEL supervision.
- Support and manage internship schedules.
- Track ACEND required competencies under the supervision of clinical educator.
- As appropriate, assist supervised practice coordinators with tasks such as lab planning, preparation and teaching, assignment grading and course management within the undergraduate program.
- As appropriate, provide additional support to department faculty members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties of this job.
- Current RDN licensure and LD in the state of Ohio within 30 days of employment.
- At least 2 years of successful employment as an RDN (confirmed with recommendation from employer).
- Admission to the Bluffton University graduate program in nutrition and dietetics (MND).
- Proficient use in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as well as part of a team.
- Integrity and honesty in conveying program information and honoring confidentiality.
- Support of Bluffton University and the nutrition and dietetics program mission and vision.
