Key Responsibilities
* Develop students' cognitive capacity and respect for learning
* Foster students' self-esteem and promote social-emotional growth
* Work with and understand diverse student populations
* Integrate leadership, technology, and communication into the curriculum
* Plan and guide the learning process to help students achieve program objectives
* Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
* Implement diagnostic and progress assessment measures
* Select and use effective instructional methods and learning materials
* Establish a cooperative relationship with assigned students
* Maintain open lines of communication with parents/staff
* Engage in professional growth activities through ongoing job-related knowledge and skill development
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university
* Valid AR Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s)
* Demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn
* Excellent attendance record
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
* Knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices
* Positive interpersonal skills
* Professional verification of successful classroom teaching performance and/or student teaching experience
