BMSS, LLC is looking for a client-focused individual who values cultivating relationships to join our Assurance team as a Senior Manager. BMSS was established in Birmingham in 1991 and has grown to become a top 100 advisory and CPA firm in the U.S. We have four locations in Alabama (Hoover, Downtown Birmingham, Gadsden, Huntsville) as well as one in Mississippi (Ridgeland). This position can remote or hybrid based!
Our services include tax planning, compliance and assurance, merger, and acquisition, advisory, wealth management, accounting services, payroll, and IT Support. BMSS strives to give all clients "peace of mind" and believes in exceptional client experience.
What you will be doing:
Senior Manager level professionals conduct external and internal financial statement audits for our clients. This role will also include leadership of junior level staff on the engagement team, which could mean coaching and mentoring or hands-on training. Relationships are a critical cornerstone at BMSS, this role will be responsible for creating and cultivating relationships internally among the team and externally with the client.
Skills needed to be successful:
- Must have at least a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university
- MBA or MAcc is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 10 years in audit & assurance, preferable with exposure to a variety of industries
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication
