RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Warehouseman, you will:
- Operate forklift and other motorized equipment
- Load and unload trucks
- Perform inspection, assembly, and periodic maintenance of various inventory items including:
- Roll and repair cables
- Load test chain falls
- Inspect chain falls
- Assembly of miscellaneous items as necessary
- Assembly of miscellaneous items as necessary
- Maintain organized facility and workspace
- Assist in checking in construction equipment and tools
- Assist in pulling tool orders for construction job sites
- Assist in handling and processing incoming deliveries
- Direct drivers and delivery personnel to proper locations
- Prepare and package outgoing materials for shipment
- Adhere to BMWC safe work practices
- Responsible for general clean-up, sweeping, trash removal, and other duties as assigned
- Communicate, through the appropriate channels, any observations of noncompliance with the Guiding Principles and Core Values of BMWC and/or other violations of policy or illegal actions that place personnel and the company at risk
- Perform, with care, any control-related activities required as a function of the position
- Meet corporate standard for development activity
- Specific job responsibilities and projects will be assigned and directed by leadership
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required. Additional coursework, training and/or certification are also preferred.
- Ability to maintain shipping/receiving of stock materials
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to identify tools
- Ability to balance the budget and manage financial records.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of heavy equipment, tools, and warehouse experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Trained forklift driver with sound safety record
- Strong service orientation, safety focus, and dependability
- Effective time management, strong detail orientation and accuracy
- Ability to work productively with a diverse team and provide good customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment – prioritization is essential
