Additional duties include credit card reconciliations, vendor account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of vendors and customers account statement reports.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Specialist will assist and manage all tasks and transactions related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including accounts processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and company payments. Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is essential, including understanding the impact of purchase orders and sales orders in the software. Additional duties include credit card reconciliations, vendor account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of vendors and customers account statement reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accounts Payable
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures
- Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
- Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence necessary for files
- Obtain proper information, documents, and/or data regarding invoice payments
- Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
- Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
- Reconcile bank statements – AP, input daily bookkeeping, and record keeping
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
- Work closely with the procurement team to track expenditure and ensure proper authorization for purchase orders.
- Monitor vendor contracts and ensure timely payments, while maintaining accurate records of all purchasing activities.
Accounts Receivable
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients.
- Follow up with customers to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.
- Audit receipts on a determined schedule to ensure accounting accuracy.
- Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (GAAP).
- Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments.
- Assists in both internal and external audits, and ensures financial records are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, procurement, and sales, to support company-wide initiatives and financial planning.
- Support the Financial Controller on various financial and operational tasks, including special projects, ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and decision support.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience in AP and/or AR
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to some mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
The employee may be required to occasionally wear safety glasses and possibly hearing protection, as well as proper grounding equipment to eliminate the chance of electrostatic discharge.
