Mechanical Project Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to oversee large-scale, multi-phase mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction projects. This role involves managing mission-critical hyperscale data center developments while ensuring project milestones, profitability, and safety standards are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Manage single or multiple MEP construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and profitability.
- Partner with field teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to maintain strong working relationships.
- Develop and oversee project plans, including schedules, reports, materials management, safety, and cash flow.
- Utilize LEAN principles to optimize processes and ensure value delivery to clients.
- Lead and mentor project engineers, fostering their growth within the organization.
- Implement innovative construction techniques and prefabrication strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial targets, forecast budgets, and drive project accountability.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships to achieve mutual goals with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience managing MEP projects, preferably in data centers, federal, industrial, or healthcare environments.
- Experience with Design/Build and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a plus.
- Proven knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and piping systems.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and financial management skills.
- Familiarity with LEAN Construction tools is an advantage.
