Job Summary:
Join our dynamic Production Services! We are dedicated to maintaining cutting-edge technology environments for BNY. We are seeking a skilled individual to optimize Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. If you are a collaborative problem-solver with a passion for innovation, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize Oracle databases while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Participate in planning and executing database migrations and application software upgrades.
- Enforce data integrity across multiple platforms and provide input into design issues/constraints.
- Manage logins, user accounts, assign database object permissions, and ancillary privileges.
- Schedule and manage data transfers/jobs, monitor performance impact on operations.
- Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, identify problems, and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
- 5 years of experience working with Oracle database systems.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, performance tuning, backup/recovery procedures.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Familiarity with database best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in ServiceNow
