Job Overview:
As an Industrial Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for providing preventive, corrective, and emergency repair of electronic controls at our manufacturing facility. Your goal will be to ensure efficient equipment operations and reduce equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and troubleshoot analog I/O systems
2. Perform component replacement and coordinate repairs with mechanical maintenance technicians
3. Review and suggest performance and improvement ideas with the Facilities Manager
4. Maintain required program backups for critical equipment
5. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of critical equipment
6. Diagnose and repair controls and control systems
7. Provide controls diagnostic training to plant electricians and mechanics
8. Continually develop equipment and process expertise
Requirements:
1. Full understanding of HMI interface and programming
2. Strong understanding and diagnoses of mechanical machine operation
3. Ability to perform mechanical component replacement and coordinate repairs with mechanical maintenance technicians
4. Three to Five years' experience in industrial equipment controls
5. Mechatronics training, courses, and experience preferred
6. Meat Processing and Equipment knowledge preferred
7. Strong, committed, and unquestioned record of safe work practices
