- Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.DUTIES : Representative duties and responsibilities are listed, but not limited to the following :
- Assist and communicate with employees regarding leaves of absence; including paid, unpaid, and FMLA leaves
- Determine employee eligibility for FMLA leave
- Maintain employees' attendance records.
- Communicate with Payroll / Benefits and Human Resources staff regarding employee leaves of absence, including pay status and recording of employees' attendance.
- Assist employees with workplace injury / workers' compensation process.
- Prepare and submit required workers' compensation documents.
- Communicate with workers' compensation carrier regarding claims and submission of required documents.
- Assist in data input in distributed computer systems (Wincap and Frontline Central).
- Cross-train with co-workers on various duties.
- Other duties as assigned to support Payroll and Benefit activities.QUALIFICATIONS : . Civil Service eligibility for Personnel Clerk or equivalent title; Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER : (A) Successful completion of thirty (30) college semester credit hours plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time office clerical experience in personnel or payroll activities; OR,(B) Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical experience in personnel or payroll activities; OR,(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
- Strong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff members.
- Skilled in PC applications with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through ability.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
