- Act as liaison regarding new and future staffing needs and coordinate recruitment and hiring process.
- Secure information regarding job duties and preparation of job postings for appropriate job titles.
- Review job applications and coordinate job interview process of candidates.
- Assist with the responsibility of greeting visitors in a courteous, customer-focused manner and assist visitors with Human Resources-related questions and/or paperwork, including payroll papers.
- Answer phone, take messages or direct calls to other appropriate staff members.
- Primary contact for online web recruitment system (OWR).
- Cross train with co-workers on various duties.
- Maintain databases and provide a variety of reports and correspondence relating to personnel activities.
- Provide training to clerical and administrative staff regarding various tracking systems for personnel.
- Other duties as assigned to support Human Resources activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff members.
- Skilled in PC applications with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through ability.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).

QUALIFICATIONS:
. Civil Service eligibility for Personnel Clerk or equivalent title; Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Successful completion of thirty (30) college credit hours from a college or university; OR,
(B) One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time office clerical or secretarial experience, or performing personnel or payroll activities; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
