What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service/HVAC Technician position at Board of Education - Annex?
Overall Purpose
To maintain and perform repairs on all types of foodservice equipment.
Essential Functions
- Develops and implements a preventative maintenance plan for kitchen equipment and performs work on schedule in compliance with state and local food codes.
- Troubleshoots and performs repairs and/or maintenance on all foodservice equipment (hot, cold, wet, dry) using appropriate tools.
- Reports immediately any safety issues that may have an impact on facilities, staff, students, or visitors.
- Work effectively with other district personnel or outside contractors.
- Maintains the proper tools and parts inventory on the District vehicle to meet the majority of assigned maintenance work requests.
- Promotes good relations and displays a positive image with customers, the public and peers.
- Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Walton County dress policies.
- Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of
force frequently.
Overhead lifting as required. Must be able to work at elevated heights.
Education/Training
Strong troubleshooting skills on foodservice equipment.
Minimum (3) years experience in foodservice equipment repair preferred.
Ability to read and interpret operations and maintenance documentation related to facilities and equipment.
EPA Certification or ability to obtain within (6) months from hire.
