Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com.   We are currently looking for an Engineering Intern to work in our Owensboro, KY or Lafayette, LA location.         POSITION DESCRIPTION:   BWP’s Measurement Engineering department is seeking a summer engineering intern.  Throughout the course of the summer the candidate will learn current BWP practices for calculating the capacity of a measurement station.  Current practices require the use of multiple vendor software packages.  The end deliverable of the summer engineer will be to provide a single calculator for estimating a measurement station’s capacity at various input conditions.   REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   Passing grade in the following courses: Fluid Mechanics, Calculus II, and Physics Strong mathematical skills and experience utilizing Microsoft excel to perform calculations Majoring in an engineering discipline: mechanical, chemical, electrical etc.   PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   Preferred candidate would be either in their junior or senior year of current engineering program Previous experience in the natural gas industry   REQUIRED EDUCATION:   High School Diploma or equivalent Pursuing degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering Must be a current Junior or Senior student   ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:   Boardwalk Pipelines, LP maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hire.   Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
