We are currently looking for an Engineering Intern to work in our Owensboro, KY or Lafayette, LA location.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
BWP’s Measurement Engineering department is seeking a summer engineering intern. Throughout the course of the summer the candidate will learn current BWP practices for calculating the capacity of a measurement station. Current practices require the use of multiple vendor software packages. The end deliverable of the summer engineer will be to provide a single calculator for estimating a measurement station’s capacity at various input conditions.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Passing grade in the following courses: Fluid Mechanics, Calculus II, and Physics
Strong mathematical skills and experience utilizing Microsoft excel to perform calculations
Majoring in an engineering discipline: mechanical, chemical, electrical etc.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Preferred candidate would be either in their junior or senior year of current engineering program
Previous experience in the natural gas industry
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Pursuing degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
Must be a current Junior or Senior student
