Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com.   We are currently looking for an Internal Auditor II/ Sr. to work in our Houston, TX location.         POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position schedules, plans, and performs audit engagements. The individual will complete internal audits (including Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) Compliance) by gathering, reviewing, documenting, and analyzing information and evidence to identify risks and evaluate the effectiveness of control procedures. Perform and assist in all phases of audits following the IA Department’s internal audit methodology for assurance and advisory projects, including: Scoping, planning, scheduling, and gathering information for audit projects. Preparing or updating process narrative documentation and flowcharts. Executing fieldwork, preparing accurate, complete, objective, and timely work papers, and working with management to validate observations and discuss improvement opportunities. Finalizing audit observations, independently identifying root causes when possible, offering practical recommendations, and concisely documenting results in audit reports. Completing project documentation and workpapers. Assist with field operational audits. Research business best practices and complete external and internal training to develop and maintain skills for understanding and responding to business needs. As needed, assist with other audit activities, such as SoX documentation and/or testing. Participate in special assignments as required. Assist IA Management with administrative tasks and other assignments as required. Understand and apply Boardwalk policies and principles related to accounting, operations, environmental, health, and safety.   REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   Two to five years of related experience in a progressive audit capacity. Knowledge of internal audits, risk assessments, and control environments. Ability to research, comprehend, and apply complex topics in various disciplines. Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned projects. Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.   PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   Public accounting or corporate internal audit experience. Experience in the energy and/or utilities industry.
