Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com.   We are currently looking for a Plant Operator / Sr. Plant Operator for the Bistineau Compressor Station facility located near Ringgold, LA.    POSITION DESCRIPTION:   This position’s primary responsibility is to act as a station operator. Duties include operating the station, maintaining auxiliary equipment, perform valve inspections, atmospheric corrosion monitoring, tank inspections, facility yard maintenance, gas sampling, and be responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment assigned to the subject role. Successful candidate will be required to comply with all DOT, OSHA and Environmental rules and regulations. The individual accepting this position will be required to work a rotating 12 hour / day shift consisting of day shift 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, and night shift 7:00 pm – 7:00 am as applicable. You will have responsibility and authority to make decisions about equipment assigned to the role. Responsibilities also include compliance documentation for the assigned role. You will be required to successfully complete all Operator Qualification tasks assigned specifically for this position. Be self-motivated, able to work shift work as scheduled, and be capable of working alone, without supervision or assistance, after hours, on weekends and holidays. Be able to meet minimum physical and educational standards established by the company. This role will be located at our Bistineau Compressor Station facility located near Ringgold, La. You occasionally may be required to assist other areas if needed. Successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Bistineau Compressor Station facility.  Successful candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures. Successful candidate will be expected to have achieved a level of competence and ability to be able to fully operate the facility unassisted within a maximum of 60 days after accepting the position.   REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: More than 1 year of experience in compressor station and / or pipeline operating systems DOT 192 and DOT 195 knowledge and experience in compliance Basic understanding of gas compression systems and dehydration equipment Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft programs Ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturers guidelines Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet to transfer tools and equipment Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns Ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, wet environments, and in high noise areas     PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   3 or more years of experience with compression equipment operation and maintenance 3 or more years of experience with dehydration equipment including dry bed desiccant and glycol plants Previous electrical and instrumentation experience Associate degree or Certificate of Completion in gas compression design, operation, and maintenance from a verifiable accrediting body or institution     REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent     PREFERRED EDUCATION: Technical / Bachelor’s Degree     ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:   Boardwalk Pipelines, LP maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hire.   Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
