What are the responsibilities and job description for the AEGIS Logistician Level III position at Boarhog LLC?
Boarhog has an immediate opening for a Level III Logistician to join our team located at the Government-owned Vice Admiral James H. Doyle, Jr., Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) located in Moorestown, New Jersey where Technology and Teamwork come together to provide independent service and support to the team of AEGIS Technical Representatives (TechRep). This position is currently filled by an exceptional Boarhog associate who has been selected for promotion to an AEGIS Baseline Coordinator position for this same client at this same site, and that transition plan includes an extensive indoctrination and turnover for the incoming Logistician Level III.
Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments, and are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment. Specialized experience with AEGIS programs will enable the Integrated Logistics Task Lead to navigate difficult programmatic issues. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Standard Operational Classification (SOC) for this position is 13-1081.
The mission of AEGIS TechRep is to provide Program Managers with on-site leadership and system engineering support to validate total ship combat system design, monitor production, accept weapon system delivery, integrate and test combat system equipment and computer programs, and evaluate operational suitability. The TechRep engineering services are predominantly in support of the AEGIS Weapon System and AEGIS Combat System designs, including combat system improvements for United States Navy DDGs and CGs, and support for Foreign Military Sales, other ship classes, and the Coast Guard. The team delivers on-site technical oversight and support that validates the total AEGIS design to include Engineering, Test and Evaluation, Logistics, Production, Acquisition, and Cybersecurity functions.
