Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Manager to join the team. This role combines finance and sales responsibilities, ensuring smooth deal structuring, customer satisfaction, and increased revenue through financing options and product sales. Candidates with a strong background in Finance & Insurance (F&I), sales, and customer service within the marine or powersports industry are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing a customer-centric experience.
- Assist customers across sales, service, and parts departments as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and organized workspace.
- Handle customer inquiries and successfully close sales transactions that benefit both the customer and the company.
- Maintain a constant flow of prospects and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Accurately enter sales into the dealer management system and process appropriate paperwork.
- Assist in brokerage sales for yachts and boats as the business expands.
Finance & Deal Structuring
- Work closely with the sales team to secure approvals for financed deals and prepare all necessary paperwork.
- Submit deals to lender partners, ensuring diligent efforts for approval in challenging cases.
- Convert cash buyers into finance buyers and sell aftermarket ancillary products such as:
- Extended Parts & Labor Agreements (VSC)
- GAP Coverage
- Roadside Plus
- Multi-Seal
- Marine Appearance Products
- Conduct customer closings, ensuring all required documents meet compliance with bank and state regulations.
- Issue tags using the state tag system and determine appropriate tax collection for out-of-state transactions.
- Secure clear titles for incoming trade-ins and ensure proper inspection before closing.
- Ensure deals are processed and submitted for bank funding within 3 banking days.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain adherence to contract washing and funding policies, ensuring deals are processed within 24 hours.
- Follow company guidelines for lender relations and ensure all documentation is complete per F&I checklists.
- Train and support the sales team in understanding finance products to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Prepare monthly sales commission reports and submit them to the Finance Director in a timely manner.
- Ensure that no tag or title transfers exceed 30 days.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of finance & sales experience in the marine or powersports industry with a proven track record.
- Strong knowledge of boats, motors, and marine products.
- Proven ability to structure deals and secure lender approvals efficiently.
- Ability to meet and exceed minimum revenue goals (PVR of $3,500 ).
- Highly motivated, goal-driven, and a team player.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Strong computer proficiency for managing sales and finance processes.
- Ability to multi-task and manage both sales and finance-related responsibilities effectively.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM
- Mandatory Saturdays
- One weekday off, Sundays always off

- Ability to structure and secure deals efficiently with lender partners.
- Timeliness in getting deals approved and processed.
- Compliance with contract washing and funding policies.
