Position Responsibilities
Rig, Diagnose, Maintain, and Repair:
- Test, inspect, investigate, and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on customer and dealer units.
- Perform routine maintenance on all types of marine vehicles.
- Repair units professionally to minimize come-backs and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Conduct safety inspections and recommend additional services.
- Prepare new units for customer delivery.
- Remove and replace OEM and aftermarket accessories and parts.
- Seek opportunities to generate additional revenue during maintenance tasks.
- Perform lake tests as necessary.
General Duties and Administration:
- Report billable labor hours to the Service Manager.
- Compile and submit parts requests to the Parts Advisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Actively participate in continuing education and certification programs.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of marine motor mechanics
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Marine Mechanic
- Manufacturer certification and MMI graduate preferred - Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, MerCruiser.
- Able to interpret complex instructions and/or specification
- Knowledge and practice of shop safety procedures
- Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity
- Ability to work Saturdays
Working Conditions
- Shop environment that may require kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting heavy objects.
- May be required to work more than 40 hours

- The position is Monday through Saturday, with one day off during the week and Sunday.
