Job Summary
As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing marine vessels. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and technical skills to ensure the proper functioning of various marine systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on marine engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and troubleshoot problems
- Install, repair, and maintain marine equipment such as steering systems, propellers, and fuel systems
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to provide technical support to customers
- Utilize hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and welding equipment as needed
- Perform rigging tasks for boats and yachts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to marine repairs
- Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Experience with welding and soldering techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge of marine systems and engines
- Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar role is advantageous
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with sales and service teams
