Marine Technician

Job Summary

As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing marine vessels. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and technical skills to ensure the proper functioning of various marine systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on marine engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and troubleshoot problems
• Install, repair, and maintain marine equipment such as steering systems, propellers, and fuel systems
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to provide technical support to customers
• Utilize hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and welding equipment as needed
• Perform rigging tasks for boats and yachts
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns

Skills

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to marine repairs
• Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Experience with welding and soldering techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge of marine systems and engines
• Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar role is advantageous
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with sales and service teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
