Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience at our establishment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Take orders from customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process orders and manage payments.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service for patrons at the bar or during catering events.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly and adhere to all local laws regarding alcohol service.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, fostering repeat business through excellent service.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of beverages and supplies.
Skills
- Proficiency in using POS/ point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Previous experience in food service or bartending is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
